Looks great.
Is that acrylic or polycarbonate? Do you find it builds up static that attracts sawdust?
I’ve got a polycarbonate cover for a machine in my workshop and am forever cleaning it with anti-static spray.

i made a thein baffle out of ply and some thick plastic sheet, flexible polycarbonate is 90 quid a sheet apparently so i dug this stuff out the shed, a sod to glue together and it aint see through, but works great and diverts 99% of the dust, also knocked up some more bottle openers last week on the cnc

finished my first prototype guitar, about to make the 'real' one very soon, I learnt a lot especially about how to use the power router, 90% of it was free skip wood.

thanks, it's a spokewheel type truss rod in the centre and 2 carbon rods each side of it hence the 3 channels.

Which woods are you going to use for the neck and fretboard?
I tend to use beech for the neck and then a really hard wood for fretboard to resist warping. I keep the fretboard fairly thick too. Only ever used one trussrod, but never made a 12-string either.
Here’s a photo of a fretless bass neck I’m currently making with an Australian Sheoak fretboard. It’s the hardest wood I’ve ever worked with and looks beautiful. Hard to get now though.

hi David, it'll be a multi lam neck of flamed maple/walnut/maple/walnut/flamed maple then an AAA grade african ebony fretboard so pretty high end, that's why I did the prototype first, I didn't want to mess up the real one so technically the real one will be my second scratch build, I look forward to see your fretless bass once finished!

I bet you finish before me! My guitar projects are on hold whilst I fit a new kitchen. I am managing a few smaller projects at the same time, like the pens, but mrs Splinters wants her kitchen back.

Cherry and ash time capsule for my daughters wedding. Apparently some new wedding thing where everyone brings a memento for the box. It will be stored for 5 years in the basement before opening. Second photo is the epoxy I put into the big knothole in the lid.
it's Acrylic, and my dust extraction is so bad that I'm not sure I could tell if it was attracting dust
