Hi chaps and chapesses,
I'm on the hunt for some advise again. We are currently selling our house and have just had an offer accepted on another house. One of the main reasons for moving is so i can have a bigger workshop (think swmbo is fed up of me using the spare bedroom in our 2 bed terrace, was condsidering building a kingsize workbench for when we had guests staying over  )
The house we are after is 3 bed semi, and i am thinking about putting the workshop at the side of the house between us and next door. Next door is the start of a small row of terraces, but they are elevated from us by roughly 5 ft. There is just over 10ft between the 2 properties And our house already has an 8 ft x 6ft shed butted up against their wall.
I want to fill the whole space with a timber workshop roughly 10ft x 16ft but not sure about the best way to go about it. I will most probably be having it made for me (good contacts with a decent shed company ).
Am i best going for a stand alone workshop, or having it as a kind of lean-to to the house (ther won't be access to it from the house) ?and also should i go for a pitched roof, or pent style roof?
One last consideration for the moment...would i need planning permission/building reg?
Thanks.
Matt.
