Am I the only one cynical enough to think that the BBC are only covering this in the hope that something goes wrong with the salvage?

(P.S. I wish the salvage team every success with this operation. It's a very difficult task.)

I just saw it as cheap news for the BBC - no commentary - yet topical and of interest.
But, you may be right - there is no news like bad news.
It looks to be going well the 'tide' mark on the superstructure is imperceptibly rising - which is what's needed ie total control.
It is good to see engineering at work on such a large and public scale.
Even better without a commentary from some non-engineer BBC employee.

I was in Venice last month and witnessed a sister ship doing a close "salute" to the shore - nearly squished a water taxi!
