I'm starting to look for a new P/T, all options still open re new vs second hand and manufacturer. However, I have just come across a manufacturer I have not heard of before, Bernado and their FS 310 N.

http://www.bestmachinery.co.uk/home/124 ... -230v.html

I know it will be a Chinese manufactured clone and indeed it seems to have similarities to the Startrite SD300, though there are obvious differences such as the fence mounting system and the price.

Rather than boil the ocean on P/T choice generally, I was particularly interested in whether anyone had experience of Bernado, be it first hand or by reputation?

Many thanks in advance.

I'd go for an old second hand machine and a 3 phase converter if I was you.

The link works for me, din't watch it all but got the feeling the saw didn't work for him!

The link that doesn't work is in my original post, the reply with the YouTube link works fine. As his video ended with the saw going back and him saying "buy cheap, buy twice" think you cold say he wasn't happy!

Don't know if this is relevant, but the Benardo ADH250 Planer thickneser's is sold as Fox F22-568 in the UK and both being a re-badged Scheppach.

Hello,

The defective TS in the video is also badged as a Record Power TS250 RS-PK/A. I wonder if manufacturing QC is better on these which carry a 5 year garuntee.

Is this Bernado query still active?
Today i had a "flyer" from a french outlet where I bought some drive belts for my kity k5. a while ago.
Looking through it I noticed the Bernado name, on a machine they stock.
I don't speak french but there are some members living in France Who may be able to raise any queries in the lingo,
Should this query be important enough to follow up!

It was just a prelim question, because I saw the outfit that seem to import them to the UK is near to me in Basingstoke. Their website seems to be working again now, but with a different look so I guess the link not working was while the website was being amended.

Given the YouTube link I am not filled with confidence, so they are not really high on my list at this time. But then so much is just the same basic machine from China re-badged maybe I will end up with basically the same machine anyway.
