Thanks for everyones help with my bandsaw problems. Now I have it running I am keen to get the right blade for what I am doing.
I have a regular supply of logs for firewood and timber framing, turning etc; so I have all sorts of straight stock saved up - cedar, wych elm, ash, Scotts pine, cherry and beech. Some is rough chainsawn square, some still in the round.
A lot of it has been hanging around for some years now and is pretty dry but I will be cutting green and semi green in future.
I wonder if anyone could give me an idea of how many tpi would be the best for green and for dry?
And can anyone reccomend a supplier? The blades for mine 3607mil long and up to 1.5 inch wide so it's quite big stuff- maybe I will need to find something of a specialist firm?
