How do I rip a DVD to my Ipod Touch

Thanks everyone for the advice. In the end I ended up using Magic DVD Ripper as that was the only one that seemed able to cope with some of my DVDs which are coded for North America (I buy them for a couple of quid on Amazon.com, my DVD player is an oldish multi-region one). It allows you to...

How do I rip a DVD to my Ipod Touch

Hello Chaps (and Chapettes). :D I haven't been around for a while - I was made redundant back in February, and so consequently have been busy trying to earn a living by whatever means possible whilst trying to find a new job. (Some fat chance!!) I have been doing some consultancy work, which...

    Dust!

Call me lazy, but I tend to rely on the blower to blow the sawdust away from me, and then I hoover it all up at the end of the session using my dust extractor. I am asthmatic, so tend to use that as a guide to if the dust is a problem - the scroll saw doesn't trigger my asthma. In my...

    Tragedy

Tragic as this case is, it is my belief that accidents like this are as a direct result of our current "nanny state" attitude to health and safety. Because people are now so used to being told what they can and can't do, they no longer have any common sense when it comes to their own safety...

is going through a red light an offence?

Having driven a fair bit in the US, I would say this works well over there as generally the drivers are more courteous and drive at slower speeds than in the UK. Also, generally much less congestion. I believe that it only applies in some states though? I would be a bit dubious about trying it...

    Grinder with teeth

Which is why a lot of people think it is a good idea to wear gloves when using a grinder, but imagine how bad this accident would have been if the finger had been encased in a glove, which would have been pulled in PDQ, rsulting in a missing finger most likely. I'm sorry to harp on, but I once...

    Starting to go Cold Turkey.....

Nice looking cherry. In my experience, Cherry is one of the most difficult woods to dry without splitting. After several disasters, I have some logs which have been drying for over a year, and so far so good. I have them stacked against a north facing wall and covered over with a lean-to to...

FREE wood would be my choice, as I suspect many attempts would be required to get that thin without a mishap (certainly by me anyway!!!). Gary

    The line

Tony, In my experience the long smooth curve is the most difficult cut with a scrollsaw. It does get easier with practice, or as Steve has said, cut outside the line and and back (that's what I end up doing half the time!). Regards Gary
