Having been helped considerably by a David Charlesworth DVD, and with a book token burning a hole in my pocket, I thought I'd try one of his books. Which book should I read first?

Have a look through the contents and pick one with things you are interested in, they all cover different subjects.

They're not books as such, they're collections of articles that were previously published in Furniture & Cabinetmaker.

That's not a criticism, they're some of the best writing on woodworking that I've ever read. Not only do they cover some topics that you just won't find anywhere else, they also give a real insight and appreciation for the painstaking care and meticulous approach that first quality work demands.

Get volume one, then start angling for more book tokens so you can get volumes two and three!
