Ladies & Gents,

New to this Forum, so first off - hello!

Just won a SIP 01332 on EBay and having searched the forums, found some good advice on what TLC I will need to give it to bring it back up to spec. However, I am after a manual for it - searched the forums and all the links are old and no longer working. So I was wondering if anyone had one they could email me please or point me in the right direction.

I have emailed SIP but all I have received is deafening silence!

In the short-term, I just need to know how easy it will be to split it into table/saw/stand so I can transport it and get it in my shed a little easier than as one big (heavy!) lump.

Many thanks in advance.

Ian

Afraid I haven't got an online manual but can tell you it will come apart for transport. Each of the table wings unbolt as does the lower section of the cabinet. You are then left with the motor which is mounted to the table top and the upper cabinet section. this although heavy can be manoeuvred through a door way. HTH.

I may still have a copy of it in my manuals file - will be in the workshop later this morning so will have a look for you.

Sorry had a look but doesnt appear I still have it.

Basically having commissioned/built several of these for people over the years follow this to take down:-

1) Undo the cast table extensions leaving just the main cast section on top of the cabinet
2) Remove the crown guard and table insert to gain access to the riving knife mounting
3) Undo the riving knife mounting and remove
4) Wind blade down fully until it sits below the cast table.
5) Carefully turn whole saw upside down, laying cast table top onto an old carpet off-cut or similar
6) you can now remove the dust extraction pipe inside the cabinet
7) Undo the bolts holding the four sides of the lower part of the steel cabinet and remove.

You will now be left with the smallest section possible - just be careful lifting - you will need help as it is damn heavy.

I hope this helps but if you have any problems or want to ask anything give me a call - contact on website

Hi Ian

I have the saw and the manual.
It's in paper format so I would have to scan it into a pdf and don't have time at the minute but happy to do so if no one can provide a copy that's already digitised.

Let me know. Would probably be a week or so before I could do it.

cheers

Bob

I have this saw and it is identical (almost) to the model sold by Axminster. The manual can be downloaded from them as PDF.

Hope this solves your problem.

It's coming with a manual, so not a problem - just wondered if anyone had one handy so I could work out how to take it apart before I get there - forewarned and all that!

Thanks for all the help though and Rog, thanks for the detail and offer.

Once I have the manual I will PDF it, so if anyone wants an electronic copy, just let me know!

So, picked it up today. No problems, after all the great advice, taking it apart and re-assembling!

Feel a bit guilty (ok, not really!) as it's only about 5 years' old and I paid £350 and got 5 blades, an Incra Miter 1000 and Kelly Mehler's Table Saw Book!!!

The only, very minor, downside is no riving knife - so the big question is just buy the correct one from SIP for less than a tenner, or is there a better one I should get??
