Hello all - I'm back with yet another question

I need to identify the roof tiles shown below - the house was built in the 50's, the tile size is Length 415mm, width 355mm

I have e-mailed "matchatile" but no reply.

I believe they are "Old Double Roman" but there seems to be a number of variants?

Any help/advice much appreciated. (I only need to purchase a small quantity)

Thanks

Sorry Dave - haven't got a clue.

Have you got any local roofing merchants? Mine are very clued up and leaving them with a tile would usually result in a call the following day saying what it is, who made it and how much for new ones.

A local'ish reclamation tile\slate merchant might be a good bet.

Hi Dave,

that particular type of tapered double roman is known as a 'Bridgewater'
They haven't been about for a long time, so you'l likely need second hand ones, although a quick google search found this: http://www.esi.info/detail.cfm/Sandtoft ... 639_DN85SY

which may help...

cheers,
Andy

PS. As the name suggests, local to the Bridgewater area, so predominant in the South West especially, so it might be a bit tricky tracking them down in Fife!

Thanks for the help - the Bridgewater looks a likely suspect - I will call Sandtoft tomorrow

Thanks guys

Dave
