Hello all

I have made a finger joint jig with a 3/8 threaded rod seems to be working fine.

My saw blade is 1/8" two turns of the rod.

Can someone please tell me the procedure to cut 1/4" fingers I know that two turns give me 1/8" but don't know how to apply it in cutting.

I tried 4 turns to cut then 8 turns spin but that proved wrong. I ended up with 1/8 fingers and wider gaps.

I just can't understand the turns that I need to make..

TIA

Try this instead:
Cut or touch edge of wood to blade
6 turns (you have to move the width of the comb plus width of blade!)
Cut
2 turns
Cut (this gives you a 1/4" gap)
6 turns (to start the next comb)
Cut..................etc. ect.
Regards
Tudor
