I have used varied Optimisers over the years I have currently a Stromab purchased prior to my arrival. My last purchase was Grecon Dimter and I still like it for its software and waste calculation ability and handling. In all my experience the push feed for accuracy but the full auto is quicker as you can sort and defect 5 cube in 20 minutes as long as accuracy in length not a priority or it is getting cut to length later in the production. I have seen jet prints and stickers for batching but never taken option of either in purchase. Push can multi stack cut as shown but you cannot sort/defect in this mode. The full auto does it in single mode only, it can also blow out first cuts as you hear in vid but cannot see as it is quick. The kickers can do single or staggered hits sending it more ot left or right to aid stacking. It can be set to hit at same time, ours could hit it five feet across the sorting table no problem.

In all Grecon is dearer but better build in my opinion but the Stromab is economic does the job just has not got the options the Grecon came with. Blades in my expierence need changed less frequently even though you would think the speed they cut at this is not the case. I always would go for option that could handle 6m as this is longest batten you are going to normally use. The Stromab I have at present does not timber defect though has touch screen control. The Grecon I purchased years ago could sort/defect and had touch screen controls or could be controled from the office. It also had a sorter so could sort out timber lengths for the operator to stack. If you wanted you could do this full auto stack both ends without human interchange. Here is the Stromab like mine, but does have angled cut, I did operate this type of equipment for a company I managed that made timber trusses, but other than that is it more or less the same. If I had an option I would replace with Grecon the vid I attach as well.
