Additioinal plugins

Just this past two or three days I am being asked to download additional plugins in order to view some o the links on here . Is it just me or what ?

Should I be bothered about it

I've never been asked to do so on these forums. If you are clicking on links to other websites from these forums, then you should make sure what the plug-in is and if you really want to download it. if it is something signed by microsoft or windows, then most likley it'll be okay.
