You are mis-reading: That means its 1 phase, it will run on 240v although you may need a 16amp supply and plug. Sometimes you can get away with a standard plug sometimes not. The actual motor is 3hp.

Well this probably isn't the way, but on the upside you can often put a router into a tablesaw side table, or any other worksurface and just clamp the fence on when in use, it doesn't always needs to be a dedicated table.
