Stupid question?
I have an old Silverline planer and am wondering if the blades would cope with some soft aluminium.
I do not have a mill of any sort and I have to remove about 2 - 3mm from the 12mm wide face of a piece of 6mm X 12mm flat bar and was thinking that going fractions of a mm at a time it might just do the job. I would obviously mount the bar in a wooden holder for the operation, not try to push it across as is!!
Or am I daft to even contemplate it?
