Woodwork courses North East

[Lumix]

Hi all

I'm new to woodwork and would like some f2f tuition to get me started and learn the basics.

Are there any courses in North East that will cater for this? I'm an old codger, so needs to be for adults.

Hi lumix,
I did part of a short evening course at Ashington college.
It was very basic and the hand tools were in poor condition but if all you really want is to learn simple joints and tool use then it might suit?
