I cut the back of a Laburnum Burr to make a bowl a few months ago it is just 4" x 1 1/2" a bit of fire wood really and I hate throwing wood away so here we have a 4" Laburnum clock with a 50mm watch insert no turning just a turning off-cut converted in about 10min and there is a market for this sort of thing I hope you enjoy it

Woody, Woody.

Don't ever mention Laburnum and firewood in the same breadth, sentence, or article.

Oh Sacrilege! with a piece that size you could make one of these...

Thank you Bill,

however I must confess this pen didn't come from off-cuts it's from a recycled Lawn Bowling ball.

Wasn't easy to cut on the band-saw either   :?

talking of off cuts, this used to be an old barometer case. I was cutting it up for scrap/fire when I discovered it was oak. So I did the only right decent thing and made some pens...
