A few weeks back I did a search of the site to get views on cheap biscuit joiners and a few people said they had bought a Ferm from Screwfix and it was good value for the price (£29.99) so I decided to take the plunge.

I have just returned the item to Screwfix today. The cutter was way out of line with the fence (and not adjustable as far as I could see) which meant the slots were anything but parallel to the edge of the workpiece. Not recommended!
 
As an aside from this I was talking to someone last week who told me that both the copies of the Mafell DD40 duo-dowler which appeared on the market (the Pro from B&Q and another one from a second supplier) have now been withdrawn/remaindered - apparently the copies are not accurate enough to be useable.....
