Hi all
I pretty much finished my table today. I thought i'dpost the pics in a new thread as there were so many in my other one.
All i had to do today was rout around the table top panel and insert a 3mm ilay all around, sand the table and the rounded edges in particular and apply a finish. I managed to apple one coat of oil but i plan to do a couple more and maybe some wax applied by 0000 wire wool.
This is my first 'large' project and I am quite happy with the way things have finished but i would do somethings differently. I would get slightly more wood so i didn't have to be choosy about which pieces i used and where, i would also probably get it myself from my local sawmill.
I like the design of the table and think i will use the design again and adapt it for other projects in the future.
please feel free to comment
thanks

Interesting table that!

I like the corner joints, where the legs cut across the mitre :D interesting effect, you should be proud of it.

That has come out real nice. :D

That grain is something else and the oil brings out the warmth of the frame good choice. =D>

it's really nice. The lighting in your pictures definitely doesn't do it justice, I would say it looks even better up close.

Well done :D Beautiful table.

And I susupect this thread will contain more!

Very nice. Like the others, I really like the termination of the legs and the grain of the wood. Makes me want to touch it.

Take care, Mike
