A good few years ago I went to a local sawmill to get boards to build fencing.
The mill was down a hill which was not that conducive to getting timber up and down.
While there spotted some old stuff in a back room - lots of bits missing.
There was a Wadkin CW (I think) and a Johnsered (sp) saw.
Since that visit the land was expropriated for a dam.
Those machines are now at least 50m under water and will remain there.
A pity I did not know the value then and somehow got them out.
Too late now.

Similar story here; the school I teach had a couple of old metal lathes taken away, one of which was an old Myford, and replaced with newer (well, used but new to us) lathes... if I'd known then what I know now I'd have sold it on behalf of the school and raised several hundred pounds.

Always sad to see old machinery neglected or denied a new lease of life.
