Hello all, Aldel here.

Just posted a new page on my site http://www.aldel.co.uk/Mini_Planes.htm on how I utilised some sections of old planer blade to make a couple of very basic mini planes. These planes are simple to make but are just crying out for experts such as yourselves to improve them.

cheers
:D

Aldel,

Nice job. I dunno, you corner the Woodrat jig business and I think to myself, "Never mind, at least he doesn't make planes" and then look what happens...

Cheers, Alf

Hi Adel,
nice little Planes you have made.

"The threaded bolt is crude and ugly, but in use I find my first finger comfortably rests on top of it for control. I havn't found a suitable alternative as yet."

you can easely refine the design by using "Rändelschrauben" knurl-Screws?
They are available in stainless steel. The problem is only to find them and to purchase them in small quantities.
You can see one in my avatar on the left side at the lever cap.
Regards
Rolf
