I can't really see but it looks like it's just a jointer/planer, not a thicknesser, I found the ad, cr*p picture see,
and possibly confusing!
I believe they were similar to the clarke or draper type machine, I'd want to take a piece of softwood and a piece of oak and see how it cope's If it's not worn out,
If it's had light use and everything functions well, a nice cheap entry level planer I would think, at that money.
Would be Very helpful if the user manual and any tools or a setting jig that may have been provided from new were passed on to you..
