timber machining help needed.

hi guys

wasn't sure whether to put this in the wanted section, but really i was hoping for a bit of discussion as someone may know a better way to do what i require.

basically i require a specific moulding to go around my hearth in a dark oak, i'm happy to sand and finish it myself just at the moment don't have any access to planer/moulder. all that i would ask that it was planed slower to not have planer marks or have any breakout on the main face. i need a piece 1.5m long with no knots in the centre.

so here is the hearth, made of bits of different granite that I got off an offcut pile. what you cant see is the corners which require a miter and then scribing over the skirting. which i can do with my chop saw etc.

here is an idea of what i'm after its open to changes to suit the proposed maker, the only important bit is the 118mm measurement.



of course there will be beer tokens available to cover materials and time etc i have tried to approcah local joinerys but no luck.

How about ripping a 15 x 25 strip off a 25mm board and gluing it back on to form the inverted L section.
The colour match should be perfect and waste almost no wood.
