Startrite 18-S-1

New here, please go easy on me! Cannot believe I am on a woodwork forum, normally avoid wood like the plauge! Anyhow as needs must, I am now in the market for some equipment to fit my needs. Just been offered a startrite 18-S-1 bandsaw and the person selling it knows very little. If someone knows the spec on this mashine or where i can get information i would be grateful. What i need to know is if the saw any good, what is the work height, can I buy a fence for it anywhere, replacement and variety of blades, is the manufacture still in business?? Thanks in advance.
