squaring up my rage evo 5s

hi guys, well i've been trying to square up my rage 5s table saw using a box digital level, but once i square the blade to 90 i then lock it in place, but because the locking lever requires a bit of pressure it seems to knock it off square and the box level reads 89.7 after locking

anyone else experience this?? is there a tip to lock it at 90?

Can’t you set it to 90.3 so when you pull the lever it settles at 90?

The locking screw may have a bit of a burr on its tip which is causing deflection as it tightens. If so grind/file it to nice smooth dome.

Set the angle with a less precise instrument, such as a combi square.

Yes, just find a square that's 0.3° out in the right right direction and your saw'll be fine.

The point you have missed Phil, is that you wouldn't know either way with a combi square, hence the problem would have disappeared.
