Spalted beech bowl 5 years in the making

I found this bowl in the back of a cupboard the other day, it's the first thing I ever turned on a lathe, back when I had my lathe in my back garden under a tarp.

Kind of rough finish, uneven rim thickness and the remnants of glue chucking on the bottom, but actually quite a pleasing shape, so put it back on the lathe and trued up the base,

After a bit of work ended up with this

Only took 5 years to finish it.
