Good morning gentlemen, a work of carving and turning.
15 cm high, 8cm wide yew finished with linseed oil, some imperfection in the shape and in the carving but it is my first experiment.

I only wish I could produce such an imperfect piece......if that's imperfect I shudder to think what you will create when you get really good at it!

Nice piece. I'd go for a narrower base something nearer 1/3 max diameter.
What did you carve it with?

the base had a hole through which did not allow me change. :?
I worked with the dremel :)
 
I like that :) Would make a perfect two tier vase for dried or artificial flowers.
