new twist on Asian stripe ebony box

Hello folks

I made this box this afternoon- after the other CA glue box i used titebond to glue these boxwood inserts in and they worked brillantly

I even managed to match the grain up on this one :wink:
instead of the box ends being turned points i have carved this one instead.

I just need to design a simple stand now to mount them on.

the finish is a lemon oil base then u beauts eee applied by 6" loose leaf mop then u beats shellwax cream applied by 6"mop.

i used a rasp and sandpaper to kinda carve the ends
