Hello,
I have a piece of iroko just about 2” thick, 8” wide to which I need to cut a curve on one edge.
Regards

Made a small jigsaw to try it out and get familiar with machine. Very quiet and smooth running.

I don't think I would dare to try cutting 2" thick Iroko with a scroll saw TBH :)

Hello Scrimper,
I have studied some of your videos. The wood is actually 1”3/4 iroko, the saw is a Hegner Multicut Quick. Would I be right selecting a 9 Hegner blade, the saw came with a pack of Hegner blades,
Regards

For that type of timber the thickest blade you have would be best so yes a number 9 is better than any smaller size blade.
Thanks for having a look at my vidoes by the way :)

I used a #12 when cutting out the reindeer which was 3D.
Worked fine as long as the block was not thicker than 50mm
