I think the electricity supply to our house is a little up and down so i can't be 100% clear, but we have a load of halogens in the house and the 2 year life expectancy is a load of cock. Every few months I'm off to B&Q to shell out another 30 quid for a stock of bulbs.

Re LEDs, me and the boys do a lot of night riding on MTBs and have made the transition over the years from downright dangerous incandescents, to halogens, to HIDs and now a couple of them to LEDs. Don't see why LEDs won't be the way forward in the home, they're very good
