I came across this for sharpening circular saw blades - anybody tried it?

A friend of mine posted it onto me after having a saw blade professionally sharpened and was concerned about the cost and the amount of metal they removed!

My recommendation would be leave it to the experts. The circular saw with have brazed in tips which without the right stone will be impossible for you to sharpen. You also run the risk of getting the wheel out of balance, this must be avoided as the risks are significant if this occurs. To get a saw sharpened is not that much, I have at least three blades, one in the saw (I do this for a hobby and not for a living), one ready to go on the saw and one at the sharpeners. It may sound excessive, however, dull blades are the main cause of accidents. If you chop it off, no amount of money will stick it back on the same as it was before.

Yep stick with getting it done by a pro . I only pay a tenner for a 48 tooth festool blade to be sharpened
