This lump of rust came my way.

I knew it was bad.

But it was a challenge.

Nowt moved.

Even the split pins were rust welded into place.

A week in Citric acid helped, but force was needed.

! x 10 ton puller, heat and a large hammer was used.

Slow heat and force.

Soon. 7 hours had it in bits.

It was back in the citric acid bath, but something went wrong.

That white crud was a real pain.
Power tools, a chipping hammer and a bit of heat helped.

It was then cleaned up, a bit of paint band we get this.

Gold leaf.

The chain was finished in a mix of.

Lamp Black.
Linseed oil.
Bee's wax.
