I have just finished a small (ish) box with three coats of Danish Oil followed by clear Chestnut wax to finish it off. All coats of finish were left overnight but the final coat remains sticky. This has not happened before. What should I do next? Liberon wax remover and start again?

May I indulge you again and identify these items. I think they have a role in saw sharpening.

Any idea what this is intended for? It is marked Sorby. There are signs of impact on the handle and the round tapered blade has some pitting. This is one of four in a collection of old tools bought recently at an auction.
