Yes, I've seen this before with other listings and the seller explained that they increase the price a a temporary measure while they are waiting for new stock to arrive.

Its a common ploy by sellers

To save the expense of re-listing an item they put the price up to a stupid amount when stock has run out as there is no charge
to them by ebay for altering a price.

When the item is available again then they alter it back to the real price

Seems like sensible advertising to me. To date this thread has had 555 views, and presumably as many hits on the Ebay site. That's 555 potential sales for sellers the others items.
