I seem to be addicted to routers. I have two router tables, three routers and a wood rat which I find a very clever device for dovetails etc.
Has anyone who owns one every used it as a jointer in a similar way a router table can be used.
 
I have used it as a milling machine for wood, particularly "facing off" the ends or pieces. I haven't used it for jointing/planing (whatever the correct term is) but I do really like the manual power feed. I think that it would work well if you can either put it in the built in clamp or set it up with a series of feather boards to maintain pressure in the correct direction.

With that said, a handplane would be preferred to using a router or a woodrat for this operation. Possibly even running a track saw between the 2 pieces.
