Hi Folks

I'm wanting to colour some veneer and stringing.
I've done some reading up on this and it seems the best way to get the colour right into the heart of the veneer and not just on the surface is placing the veneer in a container full of dye and placing the whole thing in a vacuum.
So I've started looking for some Vacuum pumps and come up with this one

Does anyone have any advise or thoughts on this subject?

many thanks in advance.

how much are you wanting to colour- a lot or a little bit? If only a small amount, you could maybe trial it using a wine bottle saver thing and a small hand pump.

Hi Marcros.

I'll be wanting to do small sheets I'm not interested in doing just enough for one job.
If I'm going to the trouble of doing this it might as well be right, besides I (at the moment) have no vacuum press stuff at all.
So I should get something half decent I think.

Cheers
Guy.
