Hi everyone,

I am after a bit of advice, has anyone on here got a short bed union graduate lathe, if you wouldn't mind letting me know via here or PM how much you paid for it, when and in what condition?

I have been involved in buying a second hand one locally and I am at a disagreement with the vendor about the value.

Many thanks

Ian

Hello
There's been a few on eBay recently and sold for prices ranging from £205 up to £750, so i guess the price will depend on condition and what comes with it.

I have a few graduates and keep a look out on ebay at prices
short beds can go from 200 to 1000
bottom end rough looking 3 phase perhaps incomplete
top end very clean single phase variable speed chucks etc

I paid £300 for mine, 400v 3 phase from a school, came with a few chisels and faceplates. Converted to 240 volt with new motor, inverter and vari speed controller. Probably stands me at around £6-700 not including chucks.
