those bands that you've never heard of but really should have. to present a balanced argument for overhyped bands. :)

I'll start it off with Passenger.
continue it with backyard babies and buckcherry.
and wait for your suggestions. :)

think I might have heard them support "Get the Led out" a few years ago, did a few to many covers of the main band for my liking. In fact, now I think about it, all of their stuff was covers of the main band, bit cheeky that.

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones

If you are a fan of the very best musicianship, take a look.

Oh another vote for Passenger from me!

Bellowhead
I'm a big Beautiful South fan so I think they don't get enough credit.

Fields of the Nephilim - must dig out my old tapes. Good old proper 80s goth rock.

Euskefeurat
Very popular locally and totally unknown elsewhere. Unfortunately their lyrics isn't very accessible for people who don't know Swedish.

Summat a bit different?
Fado in portugese has its own meaning. A longing, a sadness, its a Portugese thing. Hopefully they'll be listening to it 24/7 after playing the Welsh. ;)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lh9YHtZzHfk Ana Moura is a well known singer.

Louis Killen

And for the Passenger fans. Pinkpop in Holland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRrgWOCEDsI Some good songs but maybe the greatest covers of Sound of silence and Dancing in the dark I've heard.

Lastly, Kate Rusby. Just a top lady. They call her the Queen of English folk but dont let that put you off. Shes better than that. Nice lass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZkjrgS_lKY

Oh an one more. Not underrated just gone too soon.

Yep, he's a superb banjo player. That's the first time outside of a guitar forum that I've heard anyone mention him. :-D

I am a bass player and Victor is one of my favorite players.
