Hello all, I bought a Startrite Mercury pillar drill that I completely cleaned, stripped, replaced bearings etc etc and the last thing to do it replace the chuck as it's knackered. I have read all the other threads about it possibly having a proprietary version of a JT33 taper or something but i was hoping someone might be able to actually link me to a couple of decent chuck options as when I look it's hard to tell what will actually fit. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have a Mercury pillar drill. The Jacobs chuck is marked as "33 Taper" so I think one like this would fit (scroll down - Ref: 33J) https://www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/Jacobs_Drill_Chucks.html
Personally I prefer the keyless chucks but they don't seem to do one with this taper.
