Hi all,
Just fitting a couple of stair cases as a favour for someone and trying to get my head round spindle spacings. As I understand it you should not be able to push a 100 mm sphere though the gap. So maximum gap 99mm, is that correct. If you have a turned spindle does this mean that you cannot take the gap measurement from the square section of the spindle as this will make the gap of the turned section (or parts of it greater than 100mm).
Does this all seem sensible.
Also does anyone have a link to somewhere that gives a basic formula for measuring the spacings.
Thanks all.
