I've been using old whisk heads from an electric mixer for years to mix paint (1ltr tins and less). Works great so long as you don't get too carried away and turn it into a souffle.

Funnily enough, I've never fallen into the trap of putting my newly mixed paint tins in the oven at Gas Mark 6 for 15 minutes. I guess I've just been lucky.

Don't over beat omelettes, it makes them heavy. A quick stir with a fork is better, just enough to break the yolks up.
