One dog we had, now gone to the great kennel in the sky, absolutely hated snow. If you opened the back door for him he'd take a look out and if it was wet or snowy he'd turn around, back out just far enough then cock his leg and come in again!

Thanks for posting that!

I've passed it on to some cold relatives down in Somerset (where the hot pipework is freezing, and there's more snow predicted for today).

The dog reminds me of that wonderful spoof Sci-Fi movie "Tremors" about the giant burrowing worm things terrorising an American valley - it's the tracks he's leaving.
