I have very little space and I'm looking for a small bench top planer that I can lift up to use and then put away. I already have a thicknesser, so don't need that option. However, it looks like there is very little out there for this.

Draper 78941 1,260-Watt 230-Volt Bench Planer
Silverline 344944 150 mm Bench Planer

The best of the lot seems to be the 'SIP 01543 1100W 150mm Planer 230V'. Does anyone have one of these? Is it any good?

I'm mostly concerned about the tables being out of whack with no way to align them. I don't mind if it needs lots of work to get right, but it's important that it has the adjusments necessary to do so. I'm also preparing myself to have to remake the fence as I know that is another point that often comes up.

Do you have a router table? You can double it as a planer for when you want one.

I do, but you can't surface plane wide pieces with that. I'd want to be surface planing things of up to 6".
