I have had this Silence cabinet now for years getting in my way in the workshop, I started to restore it ages ago but needless to say it got left as other things took priority.
It is basically a phone box before there were phone boxes, they used to put them in Hotels, Train stations but this one came out of a Post office in Cumbria.
One thing that I will need to do is try to repair the old brass hinges but as you can see they are a bit worn and damaged, before I go down that road I am hoping somebody might either know of some that are available or have any ideas on how to repair.
I have seen some on the bay but they are much bigger and I would like to keep as much originality as possible, I'm not worried about the self closing part working but need them to work smoothly.
There are 2 doors in the cabinet so there are 4 of these self close hinges together with a single butt hinge in the middle.
