Rough cost of maple?

Hi guys,

Would anyone happen to know the rough price of 45x45mm maple par?
My local wants £50 for 3m which to me seems way over the top?!

45mm is a bit tight to get out of a 2" board so they are most probably going to have to rip down a 2 1/2"x 4" board and then hope someone else wants the remaining width. Plus machining time, it will take as long to set up the machine as to run just one length of timber. if you wanted 50 lengths then the set up time per length would be negligable.

I understand, that price was for 20 lengths mind.
