Having been struggling with dust covering everything I've upgraded the dust extractor to a 2hp Axminster one but even directly hooked up to the table saw with literally a few feet of 5" hose I'm still struggling.

Does anyone have the same or similar saw?

Perhaps it's an issue with the slide on it allowing too much to escape? The dust "chute" seems a very narrow opening.

I end up with piles of waste at the lower corners and over all the surfaces inside including the pulley and motor for the spindle.

Any suggestions?

A thanks

I would suggest playing around with improving the lower hood around the saw blade.

Are there brush strips to help seal the top of the hood?

Bits of birch ply or thin aly, gaffa tape etc can all help.

Extraction sucking open airspace has almost no velocity other than right next to the extraction point.

Closing the gaps improves air velocity.

Not always easy to achieve on canting saws.

Sliding panel saws cant have zero gap insert plates, but if yours is worn, def replace with a new one.
