Hi all
I have a problem with my computer. It has an AMD 2200 Sempron processor but when the computer boots up it shows the processor speed as 900MHz instead of 1.5GHz. This problem is rectified if I change the motherboard battery. I am now on my third battery! The change of battery only lasts for a few weeks. What is my problem?? Do I have a faulty mother board which needs changing?
Any ideas?
Cheers

Stewart,

Discounting that you have a supply of dud batteries that you are fitting then it does sound like a mother board fault. Not many places will repair pc boards so you may have to buy a new one.
