Hi Loz,
Thank you for your comments and I must admit I do enjoy making that style of box with timber that has such a pronounced grain.
I don't know if the finial will get used on the next box or not but it is on the shelf waiting in hope of a re-launch.
Regards,
Ian

Hi Ian .... on seeing that final result, i reckon Chas has it spot-on ... 'Less is More' .

The wood is so spectacular, it's doing all the 'talking' on its own.

Hat's off to you ... something I find difficult in all walks of life is to give up on an original plan, even when I'm advised to .... and thats a good little lesson to learn there for me ... The box 'as is' now, is perfect !

Really nice little piece. I love it 8) 8)

Hi LW and Alun,
Yes the conclusion of Less is More is the critical factor for this week and as you say Alun you have to way it all up and decide to change course before it is too late.
I'm back out in the workshop making shavings on the next piece, so I hope to get somewhere with that in the next day or two.
Many thanks for your comments both,
Regards,
Ian
