I recently bought a second hand wood identification book by Nick and was wondering if anyone knew how he is getting on.
I am well aware of the accident and the subsequent reasons why British woodwork magazine disappeared.

Last I heard, about a year ago, he was working in B & Q. I believe he did try writing a monthly woodworking article for a while but had to give it up.
Very sad, his contribution to British woodworking was considerable.
