Still waking up not dead in the morning
Browsing through the new Stiles & Bates catalogue and I noticed a mention of a new lathe from Record Power called the Coronet Herald. No details and only one pic, of the headstock, which has the curvy cast iron look of the old Coronet and CL ranges, but with a flat bed in the background.
It also gets a cryptic mention on the RP website in their "Woodturning Buyer's Guide" here in the section on variable vs manual speed change. Google doesn't turn up anything else.
Interesting - a variable speed, swivel head lathe on a flat bed... could it be a competitor for the Axi AT1628VS? Is this the death knell of bedbars?
