Record power herald

I have a Record power herald lathe, which I bought second hand but in perfect condition. I have been using it for 15 months with no problems. last week it stopped while in use. It will work in reverse and the speed control work fine, there are no error codes, belt is ok and tensioned properly, but will not run forward. Unfortunately, the warranty is not transferable. I wondered if anyone has had this problem or got any ideas as to the problem!

I have phoned record power before now and found them to be very helpful
